Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data FundaTrendKa collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. In short, we collect only what we need, we never sell it, and you can ask us to correct or erase it at any time.

1. About this policy

FundaTrendKa ("FundaTrendKa", "we", "us", "our") operates www.fundatrendka.com (the "site"). We publish gift lists, styling guides and product recommendations, and offer account features such as wishlists and occasion reminders. We are not a store: products are sold by third-party stores we link to.

This policy explains how we process your personal data as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them. By using the site, or by giving your consent where we ask for it, you acknowledge this policy.

2. Personal data we collect

You can browse the site without an account. We collect the following data, and only what we need:

  • Account data: your name, email address and sign-in credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier, but never your Google password. You may choose to add your phone number, date of birth and gender.
  • Content you save: wishlists, saved lists, gift ideas and history, budgets, reminders, occasions, preferences and style-quiz answers.
  • Details of people you add: to plan gifts and receive reminders you may add details of family or friends, such as their name, relationship and important dates. See Data about other people.
  • Communications: messages you send us through the contact form or by email, and sign-ups for early access or updates.
  • Usage and technical data: pages visited, referring website, links and buy buttons clicked, approximate location (country), device and browser type, IP address and similar technical information collected automatically when you use the site.
  • Commission data: when you buy through one of our links, the store or affiliate partner may tell us that a purchase was made, with an order reference and value, so that commissions can be credited. We do not receive your payment details from stores.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as passwords for other services, financial account or card details, health data, biometric data or government identity numbers. Please do not send these to us.

3. Why we use your data

We process personal data only for these specified purposes:

  • to create and operate your account and provide the features you choose to use;
  • to send you service messages and the reminders, alerts and replies you have asked for;
  • to measure and improve the site, its content and our recommendations, generally using aggregated data;
  • to track referrals to stores and reconcile affiliate commissions;
  • to keep the site and its users secure, and to detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse and misuse;
  • to comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for any purpose that is incompatible with the purposes above without asking you first.

4. Consent and legal grounds

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account, submit a form or turn on a feature, or for a legitimate use permitted under the DPDP Act, such as data you provide voluntarily for a specific purpose, or compliance with law or a court order.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by changing your settings, signing out of a feature, or writing to us (see Your rights). Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it. After withdrawal, we may be unable to provide features that depend on that data.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the site to work: to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences, and to protect forms against bots. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

When you click a link to a store, the store or affiliate partner may place its own cookies on your device to record that you were referred by us. Those cookies are governed by the store's or partner's own privacy and cookie policies. If you block them, your purchase may not be credited to us. It will not affect your purchase.

If we introduce non-essential cookies, such as advertising cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features, such as staying signed in, may stop working.

6. Who we share data with

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with:

  • Service providers (Data Processors) who process data on our behalf and under our instructions, for website hosting, data storage, email delivery, notifications, security and bot protection, sign-in, and payment processing if paid features are offered. They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
  • Stores and affiliate partners, which learn that you were referred by us when you follow a link, and may share purchase and commission information with us. Your purchase is governed by the store's own terms and privacy policy.
  • People you choose to involve, for example when you share a wishlist or invite someone to a shared feature.
  • Authorities and others where required by law, such as under a court order or a lawful request from a government agency, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or FundaTrendKa.
  • A successor business, if FundaTrendKa is merged, acquired or reorganised, subject to this policy.

Authorised members of our team may access account data only where necessary to provide support, investigate a problem or keep the site secure.

7. Transfers outside India

Some of our service providers store or process data outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we do so in accordance with the DPDP Act, including any restrictions notified by the Government of India, and we require our providers to protect it.

8. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law:

  • Account data and content you save are kept while your account is active and erased after you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
  • Communications are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and handle any follow-up.
  • Usage, technical and commission data are kept for as long as needed for security, analytics and reconciling commissions, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

If you do not use your account for an extended period, we may treat it as inactive and erase it after giving you notice, as permitted by law. We may keep limited data for longer where the law requires it or to resolve disputes.

9. Security

We take reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration and loss, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India in the manner and within the time required by law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing activities, and the parties we have shared it with;
  • correct, complete or update your personal data. Much of it you can edit yourself in your account settings;
  • erase your personal data, unless we must keep it to comply with law;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity;
  • grievance redressal, by raising a complaint with us first.

To exercise these rights, email fundatrendka@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or tell us how we can verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Data about other people

When you add details of another person, such as a family member's birthday, you confirm that you are entitled to share them with us for gift planning and reminders, and you should add only what is necessary. We use these details only to provide features to you. We do not market to the people you add.

12. Children

The site is intended for users aged 18 and over. You must be at least 18 to create an account. We do not knowingly process personal data of children, or track, monitor or target advertising at children. If we learn that we hold a child's personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will erase it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

13. Third-party websites

The site links to stores, brands, social networks and other websites that we do not control. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Please review their policies before sharing data with them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a material change, we will notify signed-in users by email or on the site before it takes effect, and ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.
